Elton John Bozanian is a founding member and the managing partner of the law firm of Rotolo, Bozanian & Yi, LLC and is a well-known and respected litigator. An experienced and aggressive trial attorney, Elton is also a compassionate and understanding advocate who takes great pride in crafting creative and cost-effective strategies that match the unique needs of each client.
Prior to founding Rotolo, Bozanian & Yi, LLC, Elton headed his own law practice which primarily focused on litigation. Since 1996, Elton has litigated thousands of cases covering diverse areas of law and has handled thousands of criminal, civil, and family cases before the municipal, state, appellate, and federal courts. Elton has represented clients in complex federal matters, family matters ranging from divorces to hotly contested high value family actions including but not limited to issues relating to custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, high net worth divorce, domestic violence, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, college expenses, and palimony.
Elton actively serves as a panelist in the Bergen County Mandatory Early Settlement Panel program, providing recommendations to attorneys and litigants in divorce actions to help them achieve their settlement goals.
Over the course of his career, he has represented individuals in family, estate, and guardianship actions in multiple capacities. He has represented parents in numerous DYFS/DCP&P actions, defending them against accusations of abuse and neglect. He has been appointed by the Courts to represent the best interests of children as their Law Guardian in DYFS/DCP&P actions in which the children are the victims of abuse and neglect. He has successfully represented many individuals in hotly contested and complex litigation involving high value estates. He has been appointed attorney for alleged incapacitated individuals to conduct investigations in guardianship actions. He has been appointed by the Courts as guardian for persons who have been declared incapacitated and as guardian ad litem to determine best interests for incapacitated individuals.
While honing his skills as a trial attorney, Elton has realized that he takes pleasure in helping clients reach cost effective, high quality resolutions while avoiding protracted litigation.
Elton is pending approval as a New Jersey Family Mediator pursuant to Rule 1:40.
Elton played NCAA Division I Baseball at Boston University and enjoys comedy, listening to podcasts, exploring New York City and world travel.
